Teradata has expanded the responsibilities of Chief Data and AI Officer Josh Fecteau, naming him chief information officer and placing the company’s data, artificial intelligence and technology operations under a single executive leader.
The appointment, effective immediately, combines oversight of Teradata’s enterprise Data & AI organization with responsibility for the company’s Technology Services function, which includes infrastructure, enterprise applications and technology operations.
Fecteau has led Teradata’s Data & AI organization since November 2025. In his expanded role, he will oversee efforts to align the company’s technology, data and AI initiatives as Teradata continues its push to incorporate artificial intelligence more broadly across its operations.
The company said the move is intended to streamline decision-making and accelerate modernization efforts by bringing previously separate functions under a single leadership structure.
Fecteau joined Teradata in 2019 and has worked on initiatives involving enterprise data architecture, digital transformation and AI adoption. During his tenure, he has led projects aimed at modernizing the company’s internal data environment and deploying AI capabilities across the organization.
Among those efforts is Teradata’s “Teradata on Teradata” initiative, through which the company uses its own data and AI technologies internally to develop and test new capabilities before offering them to customers.
In his expanded role, Fecteau will be responsible for coordinating enterprise-wide strategy across data, AI and technology functions, overseeing continued modernization of Teradata’s internal technology ecosystem and advancing the company’s use of AI-driven tools and automation.
The consolidation reflects a broader trend among technology companies seeking closer alignment between information technology operations and AI strategy as organizations invest in generative and agentic AI technologies.

Teradata Chief Operating Officer Mike Hutchinson said the leadership change reflects the company’s confidence in Fecteau and its belief that closer integration of technology and AI functions will help support future growth.
