For the third year, Architecture & Governance Magazine has undertaken a major survey of the IT community to understand its changing perspectives on strategy, process, politics, and the evolving role of the enterprise architect. This year, 401 readers completed the survey over a seven-day period in June. Some of the results were expected—following trends we have observed in years past. But some were quite startling—in particular, the declining relevance of the enterprise architecture process among its more quantifiable brethren.

Serves as leading indicator of most important IT and business challenges

Architecture & Governance Magazine, a leading journal for IT executives, strategists, and enterprise architects, today announced its third annual subscriber survey.  The objective of the annual polling is to determine the issues and trends confronting organizations addressing IT or business transformations, and how they use enterprise architecture and strategic IT planning software to keep pace with business change.

Architecture & Governance Magazine recently completed its annual reader survey focused on understanding how enterprise architecture concepts are helping drive business transformation initiatives across the enterprise.

Of the 289 IT and business professionals who took this year’s survey, the vast majority came from entities with 5,000 or more employees. While the numbers were broad, the answers were insightful.
